Trumpeter swans have a layover for their long migration in this protected reserve. While there are limited hunting grounds, it is an excellent viewing ground for the majestic birds. Located between Mount Vernon and Sedro-Woolley on the Skagit River, there are separate hunting and viewing areas to keep users safe during their respective activities.

Be advised:

  • A Washington State Discover Pass is required to access this location.

  • There are two parking areas—one on Francis Road ("Hunt Area" parking area) and another at the end of DeBay Isle Road (Game Reserve parking area).

  • Dogs are not allowed on the Game Reserve portion of this property.
